The City of Oceanside is accepting applications for Instrumentation Technician I. There are currently two vacancies within the Water Utilities Department.
This classification will receive a 3.5% salary increase the first full pay period in January 2023 and a 2.5% salary increase the first full pay period in July 2023.

The City of Oceanside’s Water Utilities Department services the water, wastewater and solid waste/recycling needs of the City’s 178,000+ residents. The department recently opened its Pure Water Oceanside Advanced Water Purification Facility, a first of its kind in the San Diego region, that will produce enough water to provide more than 30% of the City’s water supply. The Water Utilities Department and its nearly 150 employees have also recently been the recipients of numerous awards including the Plant of the Year 2019 award by the California Water Environment Association for the San Luis Rey Water Reclamation Facility, as well as being named Outstanding Membrane Plant 2019 by the Southwest Membrane Operator Association for the Mission Basin Groundwater Purification Facility.
