As a Field Engineering Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the success of our capital improvement program and private development projects, while also collaborating with our internal inspection team, outside government agencies and contractors to provide timely coordination. Salary Range: $104,354 – $133,162/annually

Scheduled Salary Increases:

  • July 1, 2025: 2 – 4% Cost-of-Living Adjustment
  • Annual Merit Increases:  Full-time employees are eligible for 5% merit increases on an annual basis until they reach the top of their pay range.

Benefit Package:

  • 100% employee premiums paid for all health benefits
    CalPERS membership
  • 24 annual days of accrued leave (increases after 5 years of service to 29 annual days of accrued leave)
  • 12 paid holidays per year including 2 floating holidays

QUALIFICATIONS:

Qualified candidates will have a minimum of six years progressively responsible public works construction, or equivalent experience. Design and project management experience of public works projects may be considered equivalent experience.  Number of years equivalent experience will depend upon project complexity.

Training and experience substantially equivalent to graduation from high school or GED equivalent.

A valid Class C California driver’s license and ability to maintain insurability under the district’s vehicle insurance policy.

A valid State of California State Water Resources Control Board Water Distribution Operator Certificate, Grade 3 (D3), or the ability to obtain one within two years of hire.

Possession of or ability to obtain valid CPR/AED and First Aid certification within six months and maintain valid certification thereafter.
