Reclamation Plant Operator I, II, III

This position may be appointed at any level depending upon qualifications and experience. The Reclamation Plant Operator is a part of the Water Operations Department and reports directly to the Reclamation Plant Supervisor. This position is a member of a dedicated, service-oriented team in which collaboration and leadership are promoted at all levels.

The ideal candidate will be resourceful and self-directed, able to interpret complex process control data, will possess excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills, and will be experienced with the treatment of wastewater and the disposal of sludge.

Minimum Experience, Education, and Training Requirements

• All levels require a High School Diploma or G.E.D.

Operator I

• One (1) year experience performing operation and maintenance duties at a wastewater treatment facility and possession of a California State Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator I; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

Operator II

• One (1) year experience performing operation and maintenance duties at a wastewater treatment facility and possession of a California State Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator II; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

Operator III

• One (1) year experience performing operation and maintenance duties at a wastewater treatment facility and possession of a California State Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator III; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
