SCADA Specialist
The San Diego County Water Authority is seeking a SCADA Specialist who will be responsible for supporting and maintaining a distributed computing infrastructure ensuring that automation systems are available 24/7, while delivering end-to-end maintenance and support of SCADA products and features.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable with investigating documented and undocumented systems to understand system functionality. This person will participate in co-operative working relationships including knowledge sharing and partnership in achieving solutions within and across operational functions.
Qualification Guidelines
- The qualification guidelines generally describe the knowledge and ability required to enter the job in order to successfully perform the assigned duties. Any combination of experience and training that would provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities will be considered.
- Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade supplemented by three years of experience in SCADA troubleshooting and programming. College level coursework in computer science, electrical engineering, or a closely related field is desirable.
Licenses and Other Requirements
- A valid State of California Water Distribution Operator Certificate D-1 is desirable.
