Under direction, organizes and performs a wide variety of technical tasks related to the asset management program in order to evaluate and mitigate the risks of asset failure and in order to preserve the safety and reliability of the Water Authority’s assets; and performs related duties as assigned.
The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will possess analytical skills and approach problems with an open and positive mindset. This person works with multiple teams and will have the ability to communicate information to staff at all levels in a logical way with appropriate detail. In addition, the successful candidate must be comfortable performing both administrative duties and have the hands-on aptitude to complete field measurements and pipeline inspections. The ideal candidate will also have working knowledge of water systems, condition assessments, field measurement, or data analysis.
The qualification guidelines generally describe the knowledge and ability required to enter the job in order to successfully perform the assigned duties. Any combination of experience and training that would provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities will be considered.
A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course-work in engineering, mathematics, statistics, geography, infrastructure asset management or a closely related field supplemented by six years of progressively responsible experience in engineering planning, design, construction, operation, maintenance, and/or infrastructure asset management.
