The City of Oceanside is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer for the Water Utilities Department!

Salary

$4,252.15 – $5,694.46 Biweekly
$9,213.00 – $12,338.00 Monthly
$110,556.00 – $148,056.00 Annually

Additionally: $1.74 per hour certification pay for Professional Engineer

In this position you will:

·         Serve as primary project manager for vertical and horizontal capital improvements

·         Help guide our system’s future by reviewing and approving engineering design, plans, contract documents, agreements, cost estimates, and technical studies specifications

·         Keep us in compliance with federal & state guidelines by staying current on specifications

·         Represent our department to the City & external partners by preparing & managing requests for qualifications, request for proposals, staff reports, & other communications

·         Keep the public informed of our plans by presenting to commissions, community groups, business organizations, and the City Council

·         Mediate disputes between the City, contractors, the public, and developers and help drive resolutions that work

Experience and Training

Experience:  Six years  of  increasingly  responsible  civil  engineering  experience  including  two  years  of  supervisory responsibility.

Training: Equivalent to a Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university in civil engineering or a related field.

License/Certificate

·         Possession of registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of California
