The Network Support Specialist serves as the district’s personal computer-support staff; installs, administers, and maintains PC hardware and software and helps manage the operating stability, security, reliability, and efficiency of general network infrastructure. Manages the district’s mobile device infrastructure and devices via mobile device management and coordinates the district’s security awareness training program. Assists with information services related to onboarding and offboarding tasks for Helix staff, manages the district’s voice system and audio-visual systems and performs related duties as assigned. The Network Support Specialist may work after normal working hours and occasionally on weekends or after-hours for system emergencies as situations arise.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Training and experience substantially equivalent to an associate degree with a major in computer science, management information systems, or a closely related field and three years of progressively responsible experience supporting networked devices and services, PC desktop workstations, and applications in a TCP/IP LAN/WAN environment.
