Temporary Full Time Meter Reader (approx. 6 months)

HELIX WATER DISTRICT is currently seeking a temporary Full Time Meter Reader (approximately 6 months) to join our team. Our Meter Readers are responsible for reading water meter routes during absences of full-time staff.  They assist with reading of water meters for customers wishing to initiate or terminate water service and reread meters for consumption confirmation. Meter Readers perform maintenance in and around the meter box, including the removal of soil and trimming of overgrown vegetation. Under general supervision, this position will also perform meter and lateral maintenance and replacement and answer basic questions from customers while delivering excellent customer service.
