Assistant Maintenance Ranger (Part Time)

HELIX WATER DISTRICT is seeking PART TIME ASSISTANT MAINTENANCE RANGERS to join our staff at Lake Jennings.

$17.64 per hour

Schedule varies. Shifts typically Sunday – Friday between 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. and Tuesday/Wednesday between 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. and 1:45 p.m. – 10:15 p.m.
Evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.

The Assistant Maintenance Ranger maintains the cleanliness and security of the campground, lake and surrounding areas; patrols the facility and enforces rules and regulations in a positive manner; creates campground reservations, provides camper check-in, and sells and verifies fishing permits; provides facility maintenance and landscape work as needed at the campground and lake; provides facility and campsite cleaning and performs related duties as assigned.

Ideal candidates will have a minimum of one year of experience in maintenance, recreation or lake operation.  Plus, training and experience substantially equivalent to graduation from high school or GED equivalent.
